Hot Dogs on the High Seas

Maine teen-ager Eben Fogg is selling franks this summer, from his floating hot dog stand. His salty dogs go for $2 each. The 16-year-old Fogg says on a good day he comes home with $200. But on slow days he'll barely make gas money for his boat.
Fogg is also selling ice cream, drinks and potato chips to his fellow boaters. He's learning something about marketing, too. It doesn't hurt that Fogg has had a girl-in-a-bikini as a helper. But he says sales dropped off when his female first-mate had to quit to get ready for school. As he puts it, "The tips pretty much stopped." ...via
