Michael Jackson buys Bahrain Palace

Popstar Michael Jackson has purchased a luxury palace in the Gulf state of Bahrain, according to reports today. The New York Post claims the self-styled "King of Pop" has acquired an n extravagant mansion that sits on 14 acres of land for an undisclosed sum. The palace is believed to be next door to a similar property belonging to Jackson's friend Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad al Khalifa. Sources claim Jackson has splashed out on the Middle Eastern bolt-hole after enjoying a "relaxing" holiday in the country following his acquittal of child abuse allegations in June. The singer fled the US after the California trial and flew by private jet to the Gulf state to stay as a guest of the Royal family, with whom he has been friends for many years. ...via
