mansell and prost to compete in dtm legends

Formula 1 legends Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost are set to renew their rivalry in a special charity race in Germany this weekend. The former world champions and ex-Ferrari team-mates took part in some of the most memorable, and acrimonious, battles in F1 history, but have not competed against each other since 1991.Now Mansell and Prost will meet again in the ‘Race of Legends’ at the Norisring on Saturday evening.Seventies F1 champions Emerson Fittipaldi and Jody Scheckter, and five-time World Motorcycle champion Mick Doohan, will join Prost and Mansell in the one-off shoot-out around the Nuremberg street track. The five motorsport heroes will drive qualifying style laps in cars from the DTM saloon racing series. The winner will be the driver with the quickest aggregated lap time. The Legends event should raise 500,000 euros for charity.
