Pakistani militant suspect had city maps
A suspected Islamic militant arrested over the weekend in eastern Pakistan had maps of cities in Germany and Italy saved on his computer, an intelligence official said Tuesday. Pakistani Osama bin Yousaf, who was arrested Sunday night in the eastern city of Faisalabad, has not explained why he had the four maps stored on his laptop, said the official, who was involved in the interrogation. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of his job, declined to identify the cities and said investigators had not found evidence that attacks were being planned. But the official said the suspect's cell phone record showed more than a dozen calls to Germany and Italy in the past week. "We are trying to determine the identities of the numbers dialed from his mobile phone," the official said.
