Woman Is Seasick For Four Years
A British woman claims that she has been seasick on both land and water ever since taking a holiday cruise in the Mediterranean four years ago. The woman, Jane Houghton, 41, developed Mal de Debarquement Syndrome (MdDS) or Disembarkment Sickness during a week-long trip from Majorca in 2001 with her husband Neil, 42, and 16-year-old son. The woman says she first realized that she had the sickness after feeling sick each time she’s had a meal on dry land. Houghton says: "I continued to feel as if I was out at sea," she was quoted as saying in a number of newspapers. "In restaurants, the tables would bob and weave about.
