Writing Simpsons 'a dream' for Gervais

Comedian Ricky Gervais has revealed that writing and appearing in his own episode of The Simpsons is a dream come true. The Office and Extras star will appear on screens next March as Charles - based loosely on David Brent from The Office. Charles goes to live with Marge Simpson for an episode of Wife Swap and woos her while his own horrified wife is forced to move in with Homer and the children, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.
